Reflection #9 Comments

As I peruse my classmates blogs, I realize the required comments are an important learning tool. I have learned so much just by reading everyone's blogs. It's been so much fun to share and learn about different ideas and technology that others have found. The comments process really remind me of how valuable the workshop process is for writing. Your peers often understand exactly how you feel in response to successes and frustrations. Peers can also give good advice on their successes. It makes me feel like I am not alone!

On the other side, I love getting and reading comments. I know on myspace and facebook I always feel a little happier when someone leaves me a comment on something. It again lets me know that others feel the same as I do or gives me direction on my random musings. Last blog section I was not looking forward to the comments part, but I found it to be my favorite part of the assignment (besides my discovery of Animoto ;) I only wish blogger had some sort of "you've got comments" tool because it is difficult to go through all my entries to find the new comments.

Martha, thanks for this comment. What you said is what I had hoped would happen and it is a great learning experience.

You may know this already, but blogger will send you an email when someone adds a comment to your blog. Go to Settings -- Comments -- and it is the last item on that page.
