During the technology day at school, I had a chance to work with my schools interactive whiteboards (they use ProActiv instead of Smart Board). It was nice to get some information about how the board works and where I can find flip charts for their software. Activ Boards have their own collection of flip charts for teachers to use on Promethean Planet. The cool thing about Promethean Planet is you don't have to have the software on your computer to see what the flip chart does.
Through this experience, I also got to help my teacher work with her board. She's been a bit apprehensive about using it because of a bad experience where her writing on the board turned into swear words. I'm hoping that she'll get more comfortable using it for her lessons. I know I will for sure use flip charts and Activ Votes in my lessons next semester.
