Technology Goals

Educational theatre is not something I have thought much about in terms of using technology in the classroom. Obviously, there are a lot of technological advances in technical theatre (it's even in the name!). I would like to encounter or devise interesting ways to use technology as it pertains to the theatre classroom. Theatre is spiraling out into so many different directions right now: television, stage, movies, youtube. Theatre to me speaks mostly to the traditional stage model, but even stage is using new inovations to create specific affects. Theatre is also usually a more practical class, much like PE, so using technology will often be challenging. I'm hoping to learn creative ways in which I can bring technology into the theatre classroom. This might take creativity on my part, but that only makes it more exciting.
